Albert Cruz Jr, licensed concrete contractor in San Marcos
Family-owned, and licensed since 1990
Albert Cruz Jr Concrete is a family-owned concrete contractor based in San Marcos, California. Albert has held his C-8 concrete contractor license since 1990, and the business is licensed, insured and bonded, with workers’ compensation. The license number on this page is the one on the state record, so you can look it up before you ever call.
Albert keeps communication honest and direct. He tells you what the job needs, and the plan respects your timeline and your budget from the first meeting to the finished pour. Every property gets its own plan, never a one-size-fits-all approach, because no two yards drain, slope or get used the same way.
The same care for a foundation or a backyard stairway
A complex foundation and a basic set of backyard steps get the same attention. For foundations, that starts with a soil assessment and the local environment in San Marcos, then the right reinforcement and ground preparation before anything is poured. During the pour, Albert monitors the temperature and the quality of the mix.
Methods that are safe for the yard
The sealers are non-toxic and eco-friendly, safe for pets and landscape. When an old slab has to come out, concrete removal means breaking it up, hauling it off for recycling and protecting your yard and landscaping while it happens. The finishes run from broom to stamped and colored work, with the look of stone or brick at concrete cost.

“I recently had my driveway removed and replaced by Albert Cruz Jr Concrete and am extremely happy with the job they did! They were always on time, were responsive and agile when an issue occurred (a fairly significant water leak was found when removing the old driveway) and the new driveway is absolutely beautiful!”

“Albert and his crew put in a huge patio and sidewalk with drainage for us. We have had several other contractors working on our yard this year, and Albert was by far the most professional one. Albert was very knowledgeable and had great ideas for the design of this project. He was so easy to work with, responded to all of our inquiries quickly. The work was done in a timely manner, they cleaned up after themselves, and the final product looks great. I highly recommend Albert.”

“After seeing what a wonderful job Albert did at our daughter's house, we wanted him to come to our house. He extended our cement pad in our front yard, installed a curb on the side of the lawn and installed a cement pad for our gazebo. Albert was very attentive to what we wanted and even ran to home depot to get a special plug for a solar light. He didn't even charge us. His crew was hard working and always on time. Albert's rates are very reasonable and worth every penny. We are so fortunate to have met Albert. He is truly an all around, genuine guy. Thank you, Albert, for such a great job.”

“Albert was awesome. He came out the same day to bulldoze a hill to get to and fix a broken pipe. He saved the day plus was super affordable.”

“I highly recommend Albert Cruz Jr. Concrete. While many contractors these days seem to take advantage of high material and labor costs, Albert is refreshingly fair and honest. He was a pleasure to work with; professional, reliable, and skilled at far more than just concrete work. I really appreciated his upfront, direct approach and helpful suggestions to stay within my budget. Call Albert, you won’t be disappointed.”
